Information Secretary of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Amirul Azeem, a former President of the Punjab University Students Union, has impressed upon the Punjab Governor not to accept the resignation of the Punjab University VC, Professor Zafar, as the resignation had been tendered under political pressure. He urged the Governor to return the resignation of the VC and prevail upon to continue working on his post.
